Gentle Mary, where is your baby?
Holy Mary, where is your child?
1.He's here in the stables with the homeless and strangers.
No room in the Inn and so he sleeps in a Manger.
Such a sweet child the Lord's given me,
And I can't keep from wondering just who he will be...
Gentle Mary where is your baby?
Holy Mary where is your child?
2.He's walking with refugees down an Egyptian high way.
We're fleeing the killers and so we camp in the by ways.
Such a brave child the Lord's given me,
And I can't keep from wondering just who he will be...
And I see His star shine bright in the Darkness;
I hear angels sing in the night.
Like the dawn is longing for the full sunrise,
my heart longs for His Light.
Gentle Mary where is your baby?
Holy Mary where is your child?
3.He roams with the shepherds; and he preaches to cattle .
He plays in the Temple, says he's preparing for battle.
(oh) Such a strange child the Lord's given me.
And I can't keep from wondering just who he might be...
Can you see his star shine bright in the Darkness?
Hear angels sing in the night?
Like the dawn is longing for the full sunrise,
our hearts wait for His Light.
Gentle Mary, where is your baby?
Holy Mary, we wait for your child.
